Pink Hats Program

The Pink Hats Program is a program in development with the goal of providing a free cybersecurity summer camp for 15 Middle and High School girls attending a Title 1 South Florida school. Only 24% of the cybersecurity workforce is composed of women. The Pink Hats program aims to increase the number of women who enter the cybersecurity field.

The Pink Hats program is an in-person summer camp especially created for Middle and High School girls attending a South Florida school. This camp will take place over a two-week period.

This program will provide cybersecurity experiences to girls in middle and high school and will be taught by cybersecurity professionals, who are women.

The goal is to empower girls by obtaining cybersecurity-related skills such as coding, cyber forensics, hacking, and social engineering. Funds for this fundraiser will go towards the creation of the summer camp, which involves hiring instructors, purchasing textbooks, renting a classroom, providing food, creating t-shirts and other materials for the camp. If funded, the camp will take place in summer 2024.
